Message from the Buckham West Board of Directors:
At the January Board of Directors meeting, the group was presented with a letter of retirement from its Executive Director, Mona Kaiser. Excerpts from that letter are below:
Dear Members of the Board of Directors,
Please accept this letter as official notice of my retirement as the Executive Director of Buckham West effective Friday, March 24, 2023. My time at Buckham West has filled me with a sense of accomplishment and purpose that I am extremely grateful for.
During the 20 years that I have been employed at Buckham West, I have spent my time here with the best co-workers that anyone could ask for. What a joy this has been!
Accomplishments that I am pleased to note include increasing our paid membership, implementing many new programs, updating Fashions on Central, creating strong partnerships in the community, surviving a global pandemic and most of all, raising the funds and constructing our building addition! I am immensely proud of completing this large undertaking and it is my hope that Faribault’s older adults will benefit from and enjoy this building for years to come. When my last day arrives and I walk out these doors, I will look back with pride on what we have accomplished. My time at Buckham West has filled me with a sense of accomplishment and purpose that I am extremely grateful for.
With sincere gratitude,
Mona Kaiser
In order to recognize the time and work that Mona has given us in the last 20 years, we would like to invite the community to a celebration in her honor. This event will be held on Tuesday, February 28th from 9-11am and again from 4-6pm. Come for morning coffee or afternoon snacks and help us recognize Mona’s time at Buckham West!
